Royal Decree D/34 Approving the Law of the Use of Security Surveillance Cameras

With the help of Allah the Almighty

We, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,

based on article 70 of the Basic Law of Governance issued by Royal Order O/90 dated 27 Sha’ban 1412,

based on article 20 of the Law of the Council of Ministers issued by Royal Order O/13 dated 3 Rabi Al-Awwal 1414,

based on article 18 of the Law of the Shura Council issued by Royal Order O/91 dated 27 Sha’ban 1412,

after perusal of Shura Council Decisions 341/48 dated 20 Dhu Al-Hijja 1443 and 362/50 dated 23 Safar 1444,

and after perusal of Council of Ministers Decision 164 dated 1 Rabi Al-Awwal 1444,

have decreed as follows

First: The Law of the Use of Security Surveillance Cameras is hereby approved in the form attached.

Second: The Ministry of Interior—jointly with the Presidency of State Security, the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, and other relevant entities—shall set a timetable to specify the deadlines for requiring each category covered by the provisions of the law—referred to in clause First of this decree—to install cameras and security surveillance devices and to comply with the provisions of the law.

Third: His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, the ministers, and the heads of independent concerned authorities—each within their area of competence—shall implement this decree of Ours.

based on article 70 of the Basic Law of Governance issued by Royal Order O/90 dated 27 Sha’ban 1412,

based on article 20 of the Law of the Council of Ministers issued by Royal Order O/13 dated 3 Rabi Al-Awwal 1414,

based on article 18 of the Law of the Shura Council issued by Royal Order O/91 dated 27 Sha’ban 1412,

after perusal of Shura Council Decision 299/45 dated 28 Dhu Al-Qa’dah 1443,

and after perusal of Council of Ministers Decision 128 dated 17 Safar 1444,

have decreed as follows

First: The phrase “The supervisory authority shall inform the General Department of Financial Investigation of the action or penalty it takes” is hereby added to the end of article 83 of the Law of Combatting Terrorism Crimes and Their Financing issued by Royal Decree D/21 dated 12 Safar 1439.

Second: His Royal Highness the First Deputy Prime Minister, the ministers, and the heads of independent concerned authorities—each within their area of competence—shall implement this decree of Ours.

The Air Services Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Ghana signed in the city of Riyadh on 8 Shawwal 1443, corresponding to 9 May 2022, is hereby approved in the form attached.

Second

His Royal Highness the Deputy Prime Minister, the ministers, and the heads of independent concerned authorities—each within their area of competence—shall implement this decree of Ours.

First

The Accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the Convention to the Establishment of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities is hereby approved in the form attached.

A draft royal decree has been prepared in the form attached.

Second

The Saudi Ports Authority must prepare the instrument of accession to the agreement—in the aforementioned clause First of this decision—and deposit it in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the agreement, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
